As if Halloween isn't SCARY enough, the Tavares Waterfront Entertainment District has conjured up another spooky event.
As part of the annual HOWL FEST sponsored by the Tavares Chamber of Commerce at the end of October which will feature a costume contest, $5 Hayrides, Trunk or treat, and entertainment,
a Hot Dog Tasting contest will be happening downtown Tavares on Sat Oct 26 from 4PM-7PM.

You can taste versions of Hot Dogs and special fixins made by ALS Landing, Pressed For Time, Ruby Street Grille, O'Keefes, Pastore's Pizza, lake Dora Sushi and Sake and Tasso Cajun Kitchen.

Sushi Hot Dogs? Crawfish wieners? Who knows what the businesses will prepare. 

DARE to venture beyond the mysterious meat of the plain hot dog.

Tickets to taste and Vote are on sale for $10 at Hoity Toity, Ruby Street and O'Keefe's.

It's going to be a Splash, a Monster Splash!

There's going to be a Splash, a Monster splash.....in Lake Dora on Saturday, October 27, 2012.

The City of Tavares is hosting a Monster Splash Halloween Seaplane Fly-in out of the Tavares Seaplane Base in October.

Activities begin at 9am in Wooton Park in the downtown waterfront entertainment district.
If YOU have a seaplane and want to participate in fun flying competitions such as the Fastest "S-take" Off, Smashing Pumpkin Drop and Franken-Spot Landing Contest contact the City to Register and participate. There will be awards, prizes and Seaplane pilots that fly in receive a $10 dining voucher to downtown restaurants.

Enjoy a hotel package at newly opened Lakeview Inn within walking distance from the water's edge and enjoy Tavares as it celebrates its Howl-O-Fest celebration on Friday and Saturday evening.

Activities include a Haunted Hayride through the newly acquired Wooton Park Field and Haunted Boat Tours through the Dora Canal.
